When Hippocrates, the father of modern medicine said, “all disease begins in the gut,” he was definitely on to something.

It may be a bit of a stretch to say that all disease begins in the gut, but it’s reasonable to say that
, many, many diseases begin with improperly functioning digestion, even those that may seem at first glance, to be unrelated.

From a Traditional Chinese Medicine standpoint, this makes perfect sense, as the gut (including the stomach, spleen, pancreas, large and small intestine, and even the liver and gallbladder) is the foundation for the rest of health.

We are only as healthy as the nutrients that our body can assimilate and use. Therefore, when digestion is impaired, our health becomes compromised.

It’s a relatively straightforward concept. Managing digestive disorders, however, can be somewhat perplexing, particularly if they have been going for a long time.

Chinese Medicine works extraordinarily well for healing an impaired gut and supporting healthy digestion, and ultimately, improved overall health and wellbeing.
